     I've come to the conclusion that I NEED to stop wearing this hat, or buy another fedora, or both (personally I like the latter). My fedora wearing propensity is kind of a sickness. 
     In other news, I'm suffering from an actual sickness a.k.a. the common cold (it's all too common if you ask me), so I apologize for the lack of legitimate blog posts. I will go back to posting legitimate outfit commentary as soon as Halloween is over and my job applications are done. I don't remember having to apply for summer jobs this early. Damn recession.
  Speaking of Halloween, these nerdy glasses (that I made even nerdier) are part of my costume. I may have some creative outlets (like coloring in my Indie Rock coloring book and this blog OF COURSE), but choosing/designing Halloween costumes is NOT one of them. Last year I was a black cat, and the year before that I was Jimi Hendrix (this was a TOTAL accident... I was really just a hippie and happened to look like Jimi). 
      I really don't have that much motivation to create an awesome costume. College trick o' treating (for alcohol) is just not equitable to normal trick o' treating (for chocolate/ candy). I'm a chocoholic so OBVIOUSLY I would go for the latter Trick o' Treating option rather than the former. The candy option is mess free and tastier. The decision between super sized candy bars and Keystone Light is not a hard one at all. Now if only it were socially acceptable to trick o' treat as an adult.

      Photo Booth and Picnik are my go to cures for boredom. I should be utilizing my organic chemistry notes instead of the two P's, but I'm not. Time to go back to reality. Sigh. I like my little black and white alternate reality. I wonder what the world would look like everything in it was really black and white?

  I've been wearing this hat everywhere lately. It's official, I'm obsessed with it. I've decided to invest in a wool version of my fedora so I can wear fedoras year-round.

Yale's beautiful campus never ceases to amaze me. Plus, I discovered my love of Ethiopian food. Yum! Another discovery? My love of a certain Cee-Lo song. It's genius. Cee-Lo Green... IS a Soul Machine!

(Theory Sweater)

   I'm really wishing I had picked up this sweater when I was out on a shopping trip with my family the other day. Important rule of thumb: never leave home (or in my case my dorm room) without your wallet because emergencies (especially fashion emergencies) may ensue. Fashion emergencies WILL ensue if you dare to go to the Manchester Outlet Mall sans wallet. I will certainly not make that mistake again. 

    I did pick up two great new pieces though, despite my lack of wallet (thanks Mom and Dad)! I managed to find a small Kate Spade purse pipped in my school colors (so I can be school spirited and more importantly fashionable OF COURSE), and a lovely sleeveless version of the above Theory sweater. I don't know why it has taken me this long to become a Theory girl. Consider me a convert!

    PS. I apologize for the lack of posting. I promise some real posts will come soon, but first it's off to Yale for a Model United Nations Conference. I might be on the best crisis committee ever, the MI-6 spy committee (cue Bond music).

  I love fall (just not the rainy New England weather)! It gives me an excuse to wear this adorable wool cape. The polka dots really make this cape amazing, well that and the $4 price tag (originally $94). Oh, virtual clearance racks, how I love you.

  It's finally fall (which means I no longer have to suffer in hot weather while wearing my favorite fuzzy scarves and cardigans, and I can drink peppermint tea or hot cocoa daily). Fall is also the time of apple picking, beautiful leaves (especially here in the Purple Valley) cider, doughnuts, pumpkin carving and sometimes snow (UGH). Hopefully this fall sticks to the first four and not the last one (no snow please).

        I finally got my sunglasses that I ordered! YAY! They were made with love (I hope) in Italy in the 60's and sent all the way (ok so really not that far) from Canada. The clear frames with red stripes are what sold me. Plus, I really wanted to try out a new shape. Usually, I go for more of a square frame.
